Tasting note
This is a terrific, traditional drier shiraz - the steam engine on a freight train dragging its load across a weathered plain, billowing smoke and sparks. It spews black pepper, mossy/herb notes so typical of Barossa, spicy sausage and blackcurrant/acai fruit. Dried red flowers too. All on steel rails of red earth and graphite. It's a great dry-farmed shiraz with gumption and soul. And yes outstanding length and agreeability. Score - 96. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Nov. 2015)
Under the garnet colour, the nose is intense and complex. Enjoy this dry, full-bodied and spicy red featuring refreshing acidity. On the palate, it showcases fleshy tannins and a full-bodied mouthfeel that leads into a long finish.
