Tasting note

The 2008 Pillar Box Reserve Shiraz spent 8 months in French and American oak. Purple-colored, it delivers an alluring nose of cedar, lavender, pepper, and blueberry. Concentrated and layered on the palate, it has more than ample succulent fruit, good balance, and enough structure to ensure 4-5 years of pleasurable drinking. Score - 90. Aromas of cherry, caraway seed and spearmint are a delightful prelude to the ever-delightful palate that's loaded with delicious flavours of anise, blackberry and plum.
