Tasting note
This shines bright pale tawny-brick in the glass. It has an incredible nose - very soft but rich with fig/raspberry jam, aged honey, hickory, leather and touch of burlap. Plus that rancio/nutty character of aged fortifieds. It's full and sweet, with splendid velvety/marbled texture, then a tart, hot and nutty finish. Excellent to outstanding length with a bit of hit of alcohol heat on the finish. Huge value for port lovers. Score - 94. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Nov. 2013)
This sweet red displays a simple and medium nose featuring empyreumatic, spicy and fruity aromas. On the palate, its refreshing acidity and unctuous texture precede a long finish.
