Tasting note

Dark brown, stout-like colour; cocoa, malt and burnt coffee aromas; caramel and dark chocolate, creamy, rich flavours on the palate.

This black lager has light caramel and dark chocolate flavours but none of the burnt malt flavours associated with porter. It balances roasted yet smooth malt flavours with moderate hop bitterness and a fine carbonation. The smooth rounded aftertaste lingers gently in the dry finish. It’s the best qualities of lager and stout combined!
