Dark amber colour; aromas of roasted malt, burnt caramel, coffee, chocolate and pumpernickel bread; toffee, chocolate and coffee malt flavours; sweet, medium to full-bodied with a medium finish.
Strong brown lager used as liquid bread by Bavarian monks during lent. Flavours of molasses, chocolate, biscuit, plum, and orange.
