Tasting note
Pale gold colour; soft malt and grain flavour, clean refreshing hop finish
Löwenbräu, one of the original beers of Octoberfest, was named after the founder of Munich, Duke Henry, the “Lion”, thus, Lion-Brewed or Löwenbräu. With a history dating back to 1383, this most famous of German brews has delivered the classic malt, hop and refreshing taste of a classic German lager beer for centuries. 5.2% alcohol by volume.
Löwenbräu is one of only six munich breweries allowed to serve beer at oktoberfest. while this light yellow lager is not as strong or rich as the style brewed for the oktoberfest, Löwenbräu original is still a fine example of the German helles style.
