Tasting note
Amber colour; toasty aromas with citrus, floral and clove notes; intense and flavourful followed by a rich, hoppy finish.
Orval Trappist Ale is light, lively and foamy. It has an intense hoppy bitterness, again with fruity notes (grapefruit, lemon, orange zest) and a spicy hint of cinnamon or nutmeg. There is no sweetness descemible anywhere in the beer.
Orval Stong Ale has an intensely aromatic and dry character.
