Tasting note

Cloudy deep copper/brown; aromas of caramel, fruitcake, spice and chocolate; on the palate it medium-full bodied, with intense flavours of bitter chocolate, earthy hops, figs, spice and treacle pudding.
LCBO
The lower gravity cousin to Rochefort 10. Nicknamed Spéciale 'The Special', this beer is the most recent production. The Rochefort 8 has a more tawny colour and a more pronounced aroma, with an even richer fruitiness and a little more spiced dryness, like that of a cake, which gives a balanced finish to the final notes.
Alcool NB Liquor
This top-fermented, dark trappist ale is a tawny brown colour with a pronounced taste, rich fruitiness, a touch a of fig and a strong aftertaste. Best served between 12° and 14°C.
