Tasting note

This Imperial Stout has aromas of toasted malt, cocoa, and mild coffee. The flavour has a well-balanced roast character, with a subtle smokiness, and a mild heat in the finish from the chili peppers.

Smaug Stout is styled after a classic Russian Stout with a subtle dose of Habanero Chilies to remind you of the fire and danger awaiting you on your journey to the Lonely Mountain. Pronounced motes of coffee and chocolate balanced with Northwest hops and a touch of heat.
