Tasting note
Pale copper; ten years of oak aging seems to be the sweet spot where all elements find balance; oaky notes and brash, assertive peat are in balance with the honeyed and fruity notes typical of Speyside whisky; the palate is full and rich, with superb expression of oak, peat and fruit.
The hugely popular Curiositas is a return to the style and character of 19th century Speyside malts. This overtly gentle whisky has overtones of peat reek, wellintegrated sweet notes of honey, fruit, heather and malt with a long, nicely balanced, dry, oaky, smoky finish. (Speyside, highlands)
