Tasting note

Dark honey in the glass, this whisky boasts maple and cedar aromas in the bouquet. Expect lots of spice on the palate, including clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne and black pepper, all smoothed over by a ribbon of maple and honey. It finishes big, round, buttery and mouthwatering. Aromas of honeyed raisin toast, grain husk, whole nuts and delicate anise cookie follow through on a soft, gentle entry. A dryish, medium body leads to oily pistachio brittle, tobacco and subtle baking spice notes. Finishes with a touch of melted milk chocolate, earth and light warming pepper on the easy-going finish. A smooth, enveloping, feminine style, with a solid core of subtle flavours. International Review of Spirits Award: Gold Medal RATING: 90 points (Exceptional)
