Tasting note

Double matured in bourbon and sherry casks imparts complexity and structure to this malt. Medium amber colour, the nose is fragrant with sweet vanilla, oak, orange peel and demerara sugar; the palate offers sweet English toffee and caramelized apple flavours with vanilla and orange peel followed by a silky finish.

Taste: At first the taste is of zingy sherbet, which slowly turns to spicy and tempting flavours of plum and cherry with hints of toasted almonds and wedding cake. Nose: Double maturation delivers a rich whisky that is complex in flavours imparted from the two different woods. On the nose damp earth and whisky-soaked wood intermingle with deep vanilla and smoky embers. Finish: A silky smooth finish.
