Tasting note

This is a showstopper, a big and bold departure for a single-malt brand otherwise known for delicacy. As rich as its dark-amber hue would suggest, it puts an extra 'o' in 'smooth.' Syrupy-dense, the Glenmorangie Signet, bottled at 46-per-cent alcohol, gracefully weaves together a rich tapestry of fine Scotch nuances: dried fruit, toasted nuts, dried cereal, cocoa, vanilla, coffee and toasty oak. Aroma The first impression is wow with dried fruits - plums and dates interwoven with chocolate and coffee. Taste Big and full-flavoured. Deep forest fruits burst on the tongue with mouth- Finish Long and gentle, with warming spices. Colour gold

A contrast of rich sweetness with an explosive crackle of sizzling spices and bitter mocha. The finish is a fresh spring-like breeze of mint with a bright citrus lemony-green quality.
