Tasting note
Handcrafted tequila that is created for sipping, this is barrel aged for 11 months giving it a beautiful copper colour. On the palate, it is soft with flavours of sweet caramelized agave, vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is warming and long with notes of spice and toasty oak.
Herradura’s own Gabriela Romo de la Peña introduced the world to reposado tequila in 1974. Our reposado is “Rested” or aged for 11 months (9 more than category standards) which gives this tequila its deep copper color and exceptionally smooth taste. Color: Copper. Aroma: Cooked agave with wood, vanilla and cinnamon notes. Taste: Very smooth with sweet cooked agave notes; slight vanilla and cinnamon. Finish: Smooth, sweet with a hint of spice. Age: 11 months.
The originator continues to set the standard — Herradura invented the Reposado category and, in doing so, completely reinvented tequila. To be classified as Reposado, a tequila must be aged a minimum of two months. Herradura® Reposado is aged for 11 months, to create the perfect balance of wood, fruity notes, vanilla and spices. Drink recipe: Chambord® Margarita Royale. Pour 1 1/2 oz. Herradura® Reposado Tequila, 3/4 oz. Chambord®, 3/4 oz. pomegranate juice and 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice in a shaker with ice. Shake and then strain into a margarita or martini glass.
