The Kraken Black Spiced Rum has a distinctive taste that comes from its Caribbean rum, distilled from molasses made from local sugar cane, aged up to 24 months, and a unique spice blend of natural ingredients

Like the Kraken’ s ink, the Kraken rum is black and powerful. Unlike the Kraken’ s ink; however, the rum is distilled in pot stills on the Virgin Islands and fermented from naturally sweet molasses made from sugar cane grown on nearby riverbanks. Natural yeasts are used to ferment the water-thinned molasses, which is converted directly into alcohol. The rum is distilled to 97.5% alcohol. Kraken rum is then aged in oak barrels for between 12 and 24 months before being blended with a range of spices including cinnamon, ginger and clove.
