Tasting note
A blend of single malt and single pot still whiskeys which are triple distilled, non-peated and aged in bourbon casks come together to create this bright amber coloured dram. You'll be greeted with appealing aromas/flavours of green apple, vanilla, caramel and ginger; medium-intensity with a fruity, medium length finish.
Nose: A glossy pot still character: rather than the usual fruity firmness, the recognizable pot still traits are shrouded in soft honey tones with kumquat-citrus tones. Taste: Soft and hard waves, the former showing a more bitter, the sweeter more yielding notes dissolve with little or no resistance, leaving an acacia honeyed trail; towards the middle a juicier malt element mingles with soft vanilla but the pot still character never goes away
This super smooth Irish whisky is flying off of store shelves ‐ it was rated 93pts in the Whisky Bible. (Adele Shaw, Portfolio Manager for Spirits, Wines of South Africa, Fortified, and Asian Wines)
