Tasting note
The Heiss family, who owns Gray Monk, has been associated with premium winemaking in the Okanagan since 1972, originally enjoying a reputation as a highly sought-after and respected grape grower. The 2013 Pinot Blanc offers aromas of apple, pear, lemon, honey and mineral, and is fresh and juicy with forward flavours and good length. Try this with spicy chicken or grilled salmon steaks. (VINTAGES panel, Feb. 2015)
Pale straw in color, this wine has a fruity aroma suggesting grapefruit and banana. It is packed with fresh and sweet tropical fruit flavors, including pink grapefruit and honeydew melon. Supple and full in texture, the wine has a dry finish. Serve chilled with seafood, poultry or mild cheese.
Showcasing Okanagan tree fruit flavour and citrus hints, this medium-bodied white has texture and fresh acidity to enjoy. With a fruit reach into the finish this wine is a good sipper. Or try with salmon, risotto or pasta.
