Tasting note
A remarkable effort, the 2011 Cornas Vieilles Vignes is one of the stars of the vintage. Superbly concentrated with an inky/purple color and a layered texture, it reveals copious aromas of blueberries, blackberries and spring flowers intermixed with hints of pen ink, lavender and graphite. Full-bodied as well as supple and accessible, it should keep for 12-15 years. Score - 94-96. (Robert Parker Jr., erobertparker.com, Dec. 2012)
