Tasting note
Simply beautiful semi-sweet Gewürztraminer. Candied grapefruit, botanical oils, white roses, lychee and honeyed almonds all make an appearance. In the mouth it's soft, delicate and pretty - what Mosel is to Riesling, this is to Gewürz. Gently spicy ginger and rosewater notions interplay on the finish. A rare Gewürz that you could cellar (3-5 years), this offers frankly astonishing value. Pair with spicy pork stir-fry, or roasted almonds and strong cheeses at the end of a meal. Serve chilled. (VINTAGES panel, Dec. 2012)
The very expressive and aromatic bouquet is floral and fruity. It is reminiscent of roses, mango, passion fruit and apricot. In its taste, the wine is elegant and aromatic with a fine acidity and long finish.
