Tasting note
The 2010 Chardonnay is quite a bit brighter and more focused than the 2009. Lemon peel, flowers, spices and crushed rocks are some of the notes that flow from this taut, mineral-driven wine. Hints of lemon, mint and jasmine reappear on the crisp, delineated finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2020. Score - 93. (Antonio Galloni, erobertparker.com, Dec. 2011)
This dry straw yellow coloured wine features medium woody, empyreumatic, spicy, floral and fruity scents and offers a full-bodied texture.
The Antica Napa Valley Chardonnay is pure, fresh, and complex. Aromas of crushed stone fruit are interwoven with flavours of pear, apple, white peach, and a signature terroir-driven minerality. Hazelnut and vanilla add layers of intensity and intrigue on the lingering finish.
