Tasting note
Here's a totally delightful, fresh strawberry-raspberry-cherry scented northern Italian red, the kind that just begs to be chilled and cracked. The palate is soft and gives a vague sweet fruit impression, making it all the more appealing and easy drinking. Fun stuff. Score - 88. (John Szabo, MS, winealign.com, May 17, 2016)
This DOC Bardolino is made from 55 year old indigenous native vines from Custoza in the Verona region, Italy. This wine is fruity and fragrant. It is made with two of the grapes more famously used to produce Amarone. Pair with beef, cheese, pasta, fish and lighter fare. This little Bardolino is simple, juicy and fun. When you can't decide whether you want red or white, chill this down and enjoy! 2 Glasses out of 3 - Gambero Roso 2013, Jan/14. This little Bardolino is simple, juicy and fun.
