Tasting note
This boutique series is named to honour the one-of-a-kind spirit of founder Bernard Podlashuk, and the wines themselves express something inimitable. The Old Vine Chenin Blanc offers up rich tropical fruit accented by toasty notes. The palate is round, but fresh and beautifully integrated. A hefty wine with seamless structure and composure. Impressive. (VINTAGES panel, Feb. 2013)
Under the golden yellow colour, the intense and complex nose evokes spicy, floral and fruity notes. On the palate, it offers a full-bodied mouthfeel that leads into a long finish. Enjoy this dry, full-bodied and woody white featuring refreshing acidity.
Bold layers of tropical fruit and flavours of honeysuckle, melon and vanilla.
The grapes used to make this wine come from four exceptional Chenin Blanc vineyards with an average age of 40 years. The nose is buttery and creamy with hints of baked pineapple and green melon. On the palate there is pear, vanilla, honey, toasty oak, lifted citrus, and a velvety smooth texture that ends in a lasting caramel apple finish.
