Tasting note
Another proprietary red, the 2013 Proprietary Red Quantum is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah and Malbec aged 20 months in 50% new French oak. This wine offers up notes of blueberry and blackcurrant fruit, coffee bean, licorice and spice box. It is medium to full-bodied, exhibits outstanding ripeness, purity and depth. Drink now-2028. Score - 90. (Robert Parker Jr., robertparker.com, Feb. 23, 2016)
Offers an assertive mix of flavors, with dried currant, plum, blackberry, dill, cedar and mocha-laced oak. This is well-structured, firming nicely on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot. A new Bordeaux-style blend from Beringer
*Available only at the BC Liquor Stores Festival Wine Shop (Vancouver International Wine Festival Tasting Room) from February 25, 26, and 27. Festival Wine Shop is open to tasting room patrons. Same day tasting tickets must be presented for entry.
