The Term Cape Blend was started by Beyers Truter , Owner and winemaker of Beyerskloof- also known as the King of Pinotage - a Cape Blend will always have more than 30 % Pinotage

Deep dark red color with a vibrant ruby red rim. An abundance of fruit on the nose from blackcurrant, dark cherries to hints of plum. This combines well with mocha and cedar aromas from the oak. The fruit aromas compliment the palette and adds a bit of finesse to the wine. A juicy middle, great balance and a lingering aftertaste, all attribute to make this wine a classic Cape Blend.
