Tasting note

The nose of the 2013 Punch Down carries plum, black cherries, strawberry, spice, a hint of black licorice and a subtle smokiness. On the palate the wine exhibits tastes of fruits in abundance, cinnamon, cola, toasty notes with a creamy texture and behind it all a light streak of acidity bringing balance and refreshment.

Owned by the Black Hills winery, the Cellar Hand Punch Down Red blend is made of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot which shows well with good fruit character. Perfect with grilled fare, hamburgers or the end of the shift.
