Tasting note
Buena Vista was founded in 1857, and is California's first premium winery. It is now under the care of Burgundy's Jean-Charles Boisset. The fruit for their 2014 Chardonnay was sourced from four vineyards and harvested by hand. Lightly smoky on the nose with apple, pear and butter tones, it has a vibrant and tropical-accented palate. Rich, round and marvelously balanced. Enjoy with buttered lobster. (Vintages panel, Jan. 2016)
Our 2012 Carneros Chardonnay opens with brilliant aromas of white flowers and baked apple layered with notes of toasted almonds and clementines. This is a complex wine that coats the palate while still displaying brisk acidity and a long, full finish.
