Tasting note

Excellent and precise cassis notes joined by vanilla, toasty oak and gentle smoke atop the black berry, dark currant and dark fruit. An impressive wine of considerable concentration but one that does not sacrifice elegance for power. Wonderful ripeness and brightness to the fruit. Balanced and structured with lots of charm and some tannic grip on the close. A great choice for braised meats. (VINTAGES panel, Oct. 2014)
