Tasting note
This dry purplish red coloured wine features medium balsamic, spicy, floral and fruity scents and offers a broad texture as well as fleshy tannins.
Black cherry liqueur with purple plums, blackcurrants, anise and coffee smoke on the nose. Full-bodied with a long finish.
Very deep black cherry colour. Open, ripe, complex nose marked by blackberry and blueberry aromas with notes of heather and moss, layered with hints of spice and coffee. Very full and fat on the palate. Intense fruit and good structure of ripe tannins. Warm, ripe finish, balanced by fresh acidity.
Very dark, intense, ruby-red colour. Complex, open nose with aromas of black berry fruit (blackcurrants, blackberries), floral notes of violets and earthy notes of fresh moss, accented by hints of new leather, ginger and allspice. Very rich, ripe and harmonious, reflecting the superb maturity of this vintage. The palate reveals the same ripeness and power: a very clean, intense front palate gives way to very attractive red fruit and spicy notes with a touch of minerality. The silky tannin structure provides a remarkably long finish, marked by fresh, almost exotic, fruit flavors. Perfect partner for a good piece of beef, spicy and flat dishes raised with truffles and flavourful cheeses.
Full-bodied and ripe, this special occasion wine offers spice, raspberry compote and woodsy notes on the nose.
