JULY 2014, from Stephen Schiedel, Portfolio Manager for Wines of Canada, USA and South America: "The Riesling vines for this wine were planted in 1984 in the southern Bio Bio wine region of Chile. A trophy winner in November’s 2013 AWOCA competition, the wine is more in an Alsace profile, dry with loads of apple, lime aromas and flavours and biting acidity. The austerity is offset by a wonderful purity of concentrated fruit, that picks up in the finish as the oil of lime peels or zest. An exceptional wine to serve with pork chops, sushi, Thai cuisine, Indian curries or spicy prawns."
