Tasting note

A full-bodied, generous Portuguese red wine with mocha and toasty oak on the nose. Black plum and raspberry with dark spices on the mid-palate and finish. Long finish on this D.O.C. wine. There's been a revolution in dry red wines from Portugal: try this one and you'll know what I'm talking about. This particular wine hails from a well-known producer of port, the fortified dessert wine. The Touriga Nacional grape offers signature black fruit aromas and richness. Loaded with toasty oak and tarry black fruit with a bitter bite. Decant 1 hour. This wine made from 100% Touriga Nacional grapes was matured for 12 months in oak casks. Great with game meats. This dry purplish red coloured wine features intense woody, empyreumatic, spicy, floral, fruity and mineral scents and offers a broad texture as well as firm tannins.
