Tasting note

Even better, more balanced, classical and elegant was the 2010 Reserva, with good balance between fruit freshness and élevage notes. It's mostly Tempranillo with 10% Graciano matured in barrel for two years. There are notes of incense and cigar ash, baking spices and ripe berries. The palate is medium to full-bodied with sleek tannins and a silky texture. It has very good freshness and balance. Superb Reserva at a very sensible price. Score - 92. Intense, purple-red, with a brick rim evincing barrel ageing. Aromas of cinnamon and sage, fruity notes of cherries and blackberries, underscored by a mineral component. Deep, ripe, velvety, silky finish. *Available only at the BC Liquor Stores Festival Wine Shop (Vancouver International Wine Festival Tasting Room) from February 25, 26, and 27. Festival Wine Shop is open to tasting room patrons. Same day tasting tickets must be presented for entry.
