Tasting note

This is a quite fine, fruit driven, plummy, licorice and vanilla scented port. Not a lot of complexity, but there is generous fruit. Elegance and smoothness reign, with a chalky dusty finish. Very good length with a touch of flinty minerality. Needs some age to buff the corners. Best 2017 to well into the next decade. Score - 90. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Oct. 30, 2014)

Dow’s LBV is a full rich Port with spicy ripe fruit flavours and an elegant aromatic nose. It is well rounded on the palate and has the traditional Dow’s drier finish which makes it one of the finest LBV Ports available

Supple, with intense blueberry and dried raspberry flavors that are accented by luscious notes of allspice and hints of mint. The concentrated finish features dark chocolate and white pepper.
