Tasting note

The 2010 Gagliole (90% Sangiovese blended with Cabernet Sauvignon) is a dark and hearty Tuscan red with thick layers of black fruit, spice, leather and fragrant pipe tobacco that peel off with steady determination. The palate is marked by similar intensity and there is enormous plushness and richness that is both memorable and impressive. It's a great effort from a fantastic vintage that promises a long life ahead. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2028. Score - 93. (Monica Larner, robertparker.com, Aug. 2013)
