Tasting note
This is a substantial and fairly dense cabernet that doesn't have the polish of top Napa icons, but nor is it demanding a lot from your wallet. And it stays away from commercial mochafication. It's a full bodied, fairly dense and in-filled cabernet with ripe blackberry, tobacco/herbs and some chocolate on the nose and palate. Full bodied with fine chalky tannin that makes it approachable now. The length is excellent. Drinkable now, or over the next five or more years. Honest Napa cabernet. Score - 91. Aromas of blackberry and currant along with espresso and toasty oak fill the glass. The palate expresses sweet raspberry, mocha and vanilla with a long finish that is laced with tannin structure that softens as the wine decants.
