Tasting note
(made from 74% shiraz and 26% grenache) Bright purple. Expressive aromas of black raspberry, woodsmoke, violet and cracked pepper. Intensely flavored but light on its feet, with good spicy lift to its dark berry and floral pastille flavors. Finishes with supple tannins and very good, floral-dominated persistence. Score - 91. (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, July 2013)
Black cherries and winter fruits dominate the nose - which is pure, lively and captivating. Rich and rounded on the palate, cascades of blackberry fruit, fresh acidity are layered among structure, hints of licorice, savoury fruit and spice.
