Tasting note
Smells of Cape gooseberries. Very lively but with more depth of flavour than many less expensive Grüner Veltliners. No hurry to drink this - though it's far from rich. Good Value. Distinguished. Drink: 2013-2015. Score - 16 (out of 20). (Jancis Robinson, MW, jancisrobinson.com, May 22, 2013)
July 2014 Insider Pick from Barbara Philip MW, Portfolio Manager for European Wines: "Wines from the steep slopes of the Wachau are usually very expensive but Domäne Wachau is able to make this white pepper-scented and minerally Grüner at a very delicious price."
