Tasting note

Hardy's original line of wines, Oomoo (the aboriginal word for 'good'), was relaunched in 2001 as part of their 150th anniversary - a move that has been very Oomoo for us. Dark fruit and hints of peppery spice on the nose. Lots more fruit on the velvety textured palate, and a long fruit-filled, spice-accented finish. (VINTAGES panel, June 2012)

It is a deep red and the nose shows dark chocolate and mulberry with seams of oak showing through. The sweet core of fruit battles the oak, but the wood wins - giving the palate a spicy slightly resinous element.
