Tasting note
The Hedges CMS Red (a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah) has been produced since 1987, and along with carrying the distinction of being Washington's original blended wine, it remains one of Columbia Valley's greatest values. The 2014 is elegant and crafted in a style that tips a hat to Bordeaux. Layered and balanced with great structure and dark fruit tones. (Vintages panel, Feb. 2016)
This dry, full-bodied and woody red displays a simple and medium nose. On the palate, its refreshing acidity, firm tannins, and broad texture precede a medium finish.
