Tasting note
Spring has sprung and wines like this young Yarra Valley pinot noir deserve to be enjoyed with gusto. It's almost like an Oz translation of France's beaujolais cru style, deliciously drinkable, uncomplicated and fresh at first meeting. The nose combines raspberry, plum and spice aromas in inviting sappy combination. The palate is succulent, intense and silky, yet with enough depth and backbone to lift it well above the simple crowd-pleaser category. Value: Good. Food ideas: Charcuterie; meaty sausages. Ageing? Drink over two years. Score - 92. (Ralph Kyte-Powell, goodfood.com.au, Oct. 15, 2013)
