Tasting note
Bright purple. Powerful scents of dark fruit preserves, potpourri and candied licorice, with peppery spices in the background. Sweet and expansive on the palate, showing a juicy quality to its black and blue fruit, mineral and licorice flavors. Closes smooth and smoky, with silky tannins and a lingering mocha quality. Score - 90. (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, Sept. 2014)
This dry purplish red coloured wine features medium woody, spicy, floral and fruity scents and offers a broad texture as well as fleshy tannins.
Deep purple-black color. Explosive aromas of ripe currant, red berries and smoked notes. Rich, powerful and voluminous on the attack, a huge mouthful of crème-de-cassis concentration, silken and juicy in the mid-palate with excellent length and persistence. Fine, ripe tannins, at once supple and structurally present.
Featured in TASTE Magazine, Winter 2012 issue. Made entirely from Monastrell, this luxurious wine is full of dark fruit and ripe tannins. Forty-year-old vines bring concentration and structure to the wine, making it a good partner for lamb kebabs.
