Tasting note
The 2004 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Le Due Sorelle explodes from the glass with a heady array of smoke, tar, scorched earth, new leather and black cherries. The aromas and flavors gain volume and energy on the mid-palate, leading to a powerful, boisterous finish. Today the tannins are rather firm, so a few years in the cellar will do the wine a world of good. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. Score - 93. (Antonio Galloni, erobertparker.com, April 2010)
This dry and garnet coloured red showcases a complex nose releasing woody, empyreumatic, spicy, floral and fruity scents. You will be charmed with this full-bodied wine revealing a broad texture, firm tannins and a long finish.
