Tasting note
This is well established as the go-to gamay in Ontario, but the ripeness of the 2012 vintage has upped the charm a notch. It arguably doesn't have quite the depth to hit 90 points, but it compensates by being very well made, balanced and fresh with floral, berry, plummy aromas - plus a hint of gamay pepper. It's light to mid-weight smooth and very tidy. You will finish this bottle with disarming ease. It compares admirably on price and quality with Beaujolais cru like Brouilly or even Fleurie. Tasted September 2013. Score - 90. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Sept. 17, 2013)
Bright ruby colour. A perfumed nose of ripe bramble fruits, spice and a delicate floral note. Vibrant red berry intensity on the palate with touches of white pepper, soft tannins and a fresh. Aromas abound
