Tasting note
This rich red evokes concentrated black cherry, black currant, spice, graphite and earth aromas and flavors. The oak is deftly integrated, adding a layer of tannins to the dense structure. Best from 2018 through 2028. Highly Recommended. Score - 93. (Bruce Sanderson, winespectator.com, Oct. 15, 2016)
This dry garnet coloured wine features intense woody, empyreumatic, spicy and fruity scents and offers a broad texture as well as fleshy tannins.
An intense ruby red with aromas of blackberries and cherries under spirits along with sensation of spice and tobacco from the careful aging in barrel. On the palate the wine is very solid with notes of vanilla and chocolate, supple and soft in its tannins and accompanied by the vibrant acidity which characterizes the Sangiovese grape as a variety. The complexity and length on the finish are excellent.
A very intense ruby red in color, the Marchese Antinori 2008 shows a nose with captivating notes of ripe fruit (blackberries, plums, and wild cherries) which perfectly reflect the characteristics of the growing season. On the palate the wine is well structured, with supple tannins which are both sweet and rounded; the lengthy finish promises long life and the aftertaste recalls, together, notes of ripe fruit and licorice.
