Tasting note
This sweet and fruity white displays a complex and intense nose. On the palate, its lively acidity and unctuous texture precede a long finish.
A full-bodied icewine with intense flavours of dried apricot and praline, and good structure and length.
Rich and honeyed with apricot, pineapple, and candied lemon peel aromas. The succulent fruit is balanced by mouth-watering acidity, while spice and citrus notes linger on the finish.
Vidal is more prevalent in Ontario where it is an icewine mainstay, than in BC. This example could change that. Honey, tropical fruit and orange notes with a rich palate underpinned by firm acidity through a lengthy close make it enjoyable with pumpkin pie, custard tart, ried fruits or blue cheese.
