Tasting note

Native to Romania, Feteascã Neagrã (translation: Black Maiden) produces wines of great intensity and quality that can be enjoyed within a few years of vintage but will also reward some time in the cellar. This one offers lively cherry, plum and raspberry fruit with herbal notes adding intrigue and finishes with good length. Pair with spiced beef dishes. (VINTAGES panel, Feb. 2015)

A dominant note reminiscent of spring flowers in shades of blue and purple, closely followed by aromas of sour cherries, cherries, blueberries and plums accompanied by a low path of white pepper and cinnamon.
