Tasting note
The 2005 Gran Reserva is aged in French oak for a minimum of 24 months. It has a classic, hung game and leather-scented bouquet that is understated and demands coaxing from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and a beguiling leather and licorice-tinged finish that is both languorous and refined. This is a very fine, very typical Gran Reserva. Drink now-2020. Score - 92. (Neal Martin, erobertparker.com, Aug. 2012)
This dry and orangey red coloured red showcases a complex nose releasing animal, balsamic, woody, empyreumatic, spicy, floral and fruity scents. You will be charmed with this full-bodied wine revealing a broad texture, fleshy tannins and a long finish.
Deep cherry red with ruby tones, clean and brilliant. Elegant and complex aromas of black fruit and fennel. Intense powerful and flavourful. Well balanced with sweet tannins. Distinct flavors of red and black fruit stand out over a delicate framework of oak. Very long and persistent finish with fruity flavors.
