Tasting note

Youthful violet. Spicy, smoke-tinged cherry and dark berry scents are complemented by suggestions of candied violet and cola. Smoky black raspberry and cherry-cola flavors show very good depth and power, with a spicy element emerging as the wine opens up. Sappy, incisive and appealingly sweet on the finish, which is firmed by supple, well-knit tannins. Drinking window: 2016-2022. Score - 91. (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, Dec. 2014)

This dry, full-bodied and woody red displays a simple and intense nose. On the palate, its refreshing acidity, rough tannins, and broad texture precede a medium finish.
