Tasting note
The 2012 vintage was grown in the Wairau Valley and matured for nine months in French oak barriques. Bright ruby, it's a drink-young charmer, floral and supple, with ripe cherry/plum flavours, slightly spicy, nutty and savoury, some complexity and very good depth. Score - 3.5 Stars (out of 5 (Very good quality)). (Michael Cooper, Michael Cooper's Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines, 2014)
