Tasting note
A blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35%Merlot, 7% Malbec, 2%Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
The Mer’ r’ iym (pronounced Mur’ -eem’ ) is all about elegance, texture and length. The aromas are of blueberries, black currant, smoke and tobacco with flavours of dark fruits and cherry leading into a lengthy structured finish.
Mer’r’iym is the top wine of the Nk’Mip winery and refers to the marriage of the Bordeaux varietals as sourced from the Osoyoos Indian band vineyards. A consummate wine, it is extremely well crafted and will repay cellaring handily. From the excellent 2012 vintage.
