Tasting note
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Bin 407 opens with notes of menthol, eucalyptus, blackcurrant cordial and black cherry pie plus underlying cedar, toast and dark chocolate hints. Full, generously fruited and wonderfully forward with firm tannins and lively acidity, it offers a beautiful expression of the best of South Australia Cabernet. Score - 91+. This dry, full-bodied and woody red displays a complex and medium nose. On the palate, its refreshing acidity, firm tannins, and broad texture precede a long finish.
The flavours are big and full-bodied with plenty of tannins. The colour is dark red with noticeable legs. The nose exudes strong black currants and burnt toast.
Dense deep red with aromas of asian spices, dried lemongrass, star anise, blackcurrant and dusty oak notes. The palate shows natural, mouthwatering acidity balanced by complimentary stylish oak and a lithe, sinewy texture. It is mouthfilling, yet long and defined.
